Hello world, I'm Andy Shearer

I'm a Software Engineer at the BBC, which is a corporate way of saying that I help them make websites. I do my code in sunny Manchester, where you may well see me at fun events such as NWRUG and NSManchester. Things that rock my boat include ruby, rails and everything in between. Beyond work/code I live in sleepy Congleton in Cheshire with my famous cat Wesley. He says hello.
